My name is Nguret, I am 68 years old male, born and raised in the northern Kenya to a nomadic family that moved from place to place in search of water and pasture for their cattle. I spent my childhood herding our cattle and didn't obtain any formal education. I later got initiated into young adulthood (age expected to protect the community).
I later got married and spent the rest of my life raising my family. Life was fairly comfortable until recently when long droughts and land degradation became rampant leading to less pasture and massive death of our cattle.
