Hi, my name is Damaris!
I am the second of three children in my family. My grandmother, Margaret Apua, fled with us from Baragoi due to the regional clashes, which resulted in the loss of lives of my grandfather, my father and uncles, and my mother. We got a place to settle in in Kibiko, Kajiado County but unable to resume our studies since my grandmother is facing financial difficulties. However, my story took a turn for the better when Shelter Children’s Home came for my rescue. I enjoy being in school and I enjoy Mathematics and Science a lot.
I am desperately in need of your support. With your help, I can access quality education, maintenance essentials, and crucial psychosocial support. Your generosity will not only change my life but also empower me to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for myself and my family.
