My name is Margaret, a 40-year-old single mother who was born and raised in Kiambu County, Kenya. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to obtain a formal education that would have given me diversified employable skills. Therefore, I fully depend on scarce manual jobs in coffee plantations to provide for my family of nine children.
The year 2020 was particularly challenging for me because I lost my husband. Since then, fending for my family single-handedly has been a tall order. Unfortunately, I am not able to pay school fees for my children, and my first three children are supposed to join college. However, funding their education is just impossible with my very limited resources.
That's why I'm kindly appealing for support from well-wishers to help me achieve my vision that aims to break the cycle of poverty and ensure a brighter future for my family. I aspire to establish a small family business, a dairy farming venture that will guarantee our sustenance and create a foundation for my children's education.
I strongly believe that education is the key to unlocking opportunities that shape their destiny. With this support, my family and I will be able to access improved food security and nutrition, as well as much-needed healthcare. Ultimately, this help will improve the quality of my life and that of my children.
