Hello, my name is Hellen. I am a 40-year-old woman who was born and raised in Kisumu County, Kenya.
Unfortunately, I have been facing many challenges recently. I never had the opportunity to get a formal education, which would have given me diverse employable skills. Because of this, I have to rely on scarce manual jobs in the coffee plantations to provide for my family. I am not able to pay for my children's school fees, and my son cannot join college because I cannot raise enough money to keep him in school. Instead, he has opted to work in the coffee plantations to earn something small. I am appealing to well-wishers to support me in achieving my vision, which aims to break the cycle of poverty and ensure a brighter future for my family. I have experience in shopkeeping, and I believe that managing a shop would not only guarantee our sustenance but also create a foundation for my children's and grandchildren's education. I strongly believe that education is key to unlocking opportunities that shape their destiny. With your support, my family and I can access improved food security, nutrition, and much-needed healthcare, which will improve the quality of our lives. Thank you for your consideration.
