My name is Tito Lerana.
I am a 67-year-old female, born and raised in northern Kenya to a nomadic family. We constantly moved in search of pastures and water for our animals. For most of my life, I have been taking care of my children and husband, who passed away a few years ago. Livestock has been my primary source of income for many years.
However, climate change has brought about prolonged droughts, which have devastated my livestock. I recently lost all of them, and it has been tough trying to fend for my family through scarce manual jobs. Healthcare is almost impossible to access due to lack of resources.
I am kindly requesting your support to set up a small but sustainable livelihood income-generating activity (IGA) to improve our living conditions.
