Mrs. Nayok Lolemosian, an 87-year-old woman is the matriarch taking care of 8 children from meagre income from 10 goats.
Due to the climate-change-induced recurrent droughts, she lost all her cows and now has to walk 5 kilometers to fetch water and firewood for cooking. She struggles to feed her family and sometimes endures hunger for days.
We are asking for donations towards her appeal campaign aimed at helping Nayok address immediate needs, restock her livestock herd, and participate in training to give her the skills she needs to effectively sustain her family's livelihood in the face of droughts. Immediate needs include food for her family, enrolling them in the National Hospital Insurance Fund, a change of clothes, and buying cooking gas for their safety.
Subsequently, she needs sustainable livelihood training and the number of her goats to be restocked to 20 goats.
Your help will make a significant impact on their lives.
