My name is Jane, and I am a 50-year-old single mother from Kiambu County, Kenya. I was never able to obtain a formal education, which has limited my employment opportunities. As a result, I rely on scarce manual jobs in coffee plantations to provide for my family. Unfortunately, the money I earn from these jobs is not enough to pay for my children's education. My son had to drop out of school and work in construction sites and coffee plantations to earn some money. He hopes to join a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program, such as driving or automotive engineering, to gain skills that will help him secure a better job. I am humbly appealing to well-wishers for assistance in achieving my goal to break the cycle of poverty and create a better future for my family. I plan to start a small family business in dairy farming that will not only guarantee our sustenance but also provide a foundation for my children's education. I strongly believe that education is the key to unlocking opportunities that shape one's destiny. With your support, my family and I will be able to access improved food security, nutrition, and healthcare, which will improve our quality of life.
